Halloween (2007)
Just stop making these. Remakes are so unnecessary and greedy, and I can’t stand them. Of course, there’s a few remakes I like better than originals, but in this case, and especially with horror, it usually sucks. Not only does it disrespect the original film, but it takes iconic characters and just shreds them apart. That’s what this movie does. I know I’m overexaggerating, but I firmly believe it. This one specifically is just a crappy remake that adds way too much extra crap that the movie doesn't need. The story is stretched out to a point it didn’t need to go. That’s the great thing about the original ‘Halloween’: the mystery behind everything. Not every action needs an explanation. Speaking of things sucking, all the characters were garbage, too. I loved seeing Dee Wallace, but she was killed off in like 3 seconds so it wasn’t even worth it. And this version of Michael was mediocre, much like the last several Halloweens. The kills were great, but that was about it. Overall, this movie was absolutely unnecessary and I can’t stand it. Stay away from it.
