• It's funny because I really wasn't a huge fan of this movie on the first go around, but seeing it after watching all the other Evil Dead's, I had a much bigger appreciation for it. In fact, I think it's my favorite Evil Dead movie. It's not really anything new in terms of characters or story, but it's still super fun and very bloody. It's also not as good as the first two Evil Dead's, but it's definitely still up there, and easily in my top 100 favorite horror movies. I did like how the movie doesn't focus on the characters for more than it has to, though the beginning is a little slow. It jumps into it pretty quick, as well as having one of the greatest horror movie openings of all time. The makeup was just awesome, and by the end of the movie, I definitely felt grossed out from the amount of blood and guts. But man do I love it. Overall, this movie is well made, and though it doesn't beat the originals, there's still great callbacks and it's just flat out fun. I think I’d recommend this to most horror fans, and obviously Evil Dead fans.
