The Sandlot (1993)
The Sandlot
Arguably the most famous baseball movie of all time, this is one that never gets old. For me personally, it’s one of the best 4th of July movies out there. It perfectly captures the summer feeling of freedom and carelessness. It has such a great mood to it. It’s also great because it can probably make even the oldest person feel young again. I think the story is great, because, as I stated, it projects the perfect summer feeling. There’s definitely some corny and dumb moments, but hey, it was 1993. All the characters are really fun, especially (and most obviously) the whole sandlot gang. They are all relatable and personable, with unique qualities. Overall, this movie is awesomely shot, with a great soundtrack, and plain old fun. I’d definitely recommend it to everyone of all ages, especially if you love baseball.
