Batman (1966-1968)
Like I said in my review of the ‘66 Batman movie, Adam West is my Batman. When someone mentions Batman, who do I think of? Not Bale, not Conroy, but Adam freaking West. All I watched in my childhood was this show, because of the wonderful effect it had on me. Was it cheesy? Sure. Was it corny? Of course. Was it low-budget? Yes. But that’s what adds such magic to the show. It’s colorful, funny, and full of joy. It has such a brilliant cast, with the regulars, as well as a lot of really awesome celebrity appearances/cameos. Oh yeah, and Burt Ward gave us the greatest Robin performance of all time. All the episodes are explosive with action, fighting, jokes, and lessons. Like I said, a lot of them are pretty dumb, but that’s what makes it so awesome. You can really tell that all the actors care about the show and their roles. It’s a shame it didn’t get picked up for more seasons (there was a plan to, but it’s a long story). It’s just so perfect. Each villain is casted perfectly, with some of the best Batvillain castings ever. The theme song/music is written beautifully, because it adds some drama as well as straight fun. I could go on all day, but I’ll stop here. Please please please go watch this if you’ve never had. Holy raspberry, Batman! This show is Berry Approved!
