The Flash (Season 3) (2016-2017)
The Flash (Season 3)
This season definitely doesn’t disappoint. Though the first season is still my favorite at this point, this one provided a lot of the same thrill. It’s the best season so far, because of everything that was added. The continued multiversal storyline is so good, as it adds so much mystery and (good) confusion to the mix. I like how the story is able to stay focused on one event/antagonist, while still using the multiverse and time travel to mix things up. I really, really love Savitar, who is one of the coolest villains on the show. He was very close to being my favorite, except that Zoom exists. I love the backstories that make them who they are. Plus, the addition of Tom Felton as Julian absolutely thrilled me. The effects and CGI have definitely been improving, and for the most part, I’ve been decently impressed. Much is still cheesy, but the work on King Shark, Savitar, and others, makes it good. Overall, this season was stressful and tense, and very fun and exciting. Tom Cavanagh and Grant Gustin definitely stand out, and combined with great action and awesome music, it was super fun (and an awesome cliffhanger at the end). This season is officially “Barry” Approved, so go watch it now!
