Skyfall (2012)
Skyfall
Although this is arguably the greatest Bond film starring Daniel Craig, I still think Casino Royale was slightly better. However, it was still really good, and it was thrilling from start to finish. I loved the plot, and it’s a great continuation of Bond’s story. I won’t say much about what happens, but there are several different moments in the story that totally catch you off guard. The movie also does a great job of making you guess what’s gonna happen next, and you never seem to know. It was pretty entertaining for the most part, and though there were definitely a few moments where I struggled paying attention, the majority of it was fun. All of the action scenes were extremely well shot, as they all used some really epic shots, as well as a phenomenal score. There were actually a couple scenes that reminded me of Rambo, so that made it even more enjoyable. I loved all the explosions and gunfire, like always. Like I said before, it was really thrilling. Daniel Craig continues to dazzle as 007, and I only continue to love him more and more. I really loved what they did with his character, and it was an interesting decision. In a way, it goes against what we’ve seen in the first two movies, which is what makes it such a good decision. All the other characters were awesome, and I really loved Javier Bardem as Silva. He brings a really great, powerful, and evil aura. He’s definitely one of my favorite Bond villains I’ve seen. Judi Dench also does a great job again, as well as the new arrival of Ralph Fiennes. I really liked his inclusion to the movie, and I thought it was a great addition to the cast. The score was easily the best one I’ve heard up until this point. It had the same energy as the first two movies, but multiplied by 5. It also uses the main theme way more than the first two movies did, which made me extremely happy. I can’t get over how good the James Bond theme is, and I could rant about it all day. The music provides a perfect feel to every scene where it’s present, especially all the action sequences. Overall, this movie was fun, and I’d definitely recommend it to those who love action/espionage movies. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
