It Happened at the World’s Fair

  • Definitely an underrated Elvis movie, I didn’t have many expectations for this movie, but it was much better than I thought it would be. It’s definitely not one of his most popular ones, but overall it was decently enjoyable. There wasn’t any special charisma with any of the characters, but both Elvis and the child actress Vicky Cayetano did a great job. Cayetano was really good in her role, and it was nice to see the warmer side of an Elvis character when it comes to kids. The story itself was ok, and it did feel a little slow at points, but the majority was pretty enjoyable, and there were several scenes that were really funny. The music was definitely better than what I was expecting, and Elvis’s voice, once again, shines greatly in this movie. One song in particular he did was really beautiful, and I absolutely loved it. There was also a really nice string arrangement during the world fair scene that was really good. I would probably recommend this one, and though I doubt I would watch it again, I think this is definitely an underrated movie.
