The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)
The Twilight Saga: New Moon
Not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. I mean, it’s definitely not great, and very out there, but still solid in several places. Between this one and the first movie, I think it’s a little weaker and not as fun as the first movie. About halfway through the movie, I actually thought it was gonna be better than the first movie, however, it took a weird turn and fell off. A lot of the movie was actually more enjoyable than the first, such as the relationships and emotion. It seemed to feel a bit more heartfelt, which I loved. I absolutely loved how Edward was absent for the first bit of the movie, but he still had a very powerful presence. The tension was just great between all the characters. I didn’t really feel drawn to anyone except for Edward and Bella though. I think I enjoyed them more in this movie because they’ve already had their introductions, which makes them a bit more relatable. But also when the wolf pack showed up, it somewhat threw me off. Overall, this movie is weaker than the first, and it definitely feels a little more odd. However, it fits the fantasy genre very, very well. I’d probably only recommend it if you like romance/fantasies. #TeamEdward
