Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)
Halloween III: Season of the Witch
One of the more terrible movies I’ve seen, I definitely think this one was hilariously bad. It’s probably the most stereotypical 80’s horror movie ever made, and it was so bad, it was good. I actually categorized it as sci-fi, mostly because the plot dealt with robots and TV mind control. I couldn’t take much of this movie seriously, and it felt a lot like an old 90’s Goosebumps episode. In fact, it was so comically bad, that I was actually taken aback when something bad happened. There were actually some pretty dark and scary moments, which is expected from a movie in the Halloween franchise, but the movie was so laughably awful, you don’t expect it to be scary at all. The story was one of the silliest I’ve ever seen, and even though it completely sucked, it was actually a little entertaining. The special effects and makeup were really good, and there was one specific scene which actually made my mouth drop. Overall though, it was one of the corniest, cheesiest movies I’ve seen. The music wasn’t super great, and it made the movie feel like a crappy sci-fi movie. If they were going for horror, they completely missed. Anyways, I definitely will not watch this again, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
