Demolition Man (1993)

Demolition Man

  • Definitely a great movie, it’s a great action film that has a nice story and setting. Stallone does a great job in his role, and Wesley Snipes also did a fantastic job. In fact, the entire cast did a great job, and although there were a few characters that sucked, the acting was really good. My favorite part of the movie was the setting and design of 2032. Some parts of it actually feel like they could be realistic by that time, and although much of it is still exaggerated, this is one of the best interpretations of the future I’ve seen in a movie. I always love the movies where someone from the past has to adjust to the future, and the fact that we got two people with a previous conflict awoken in the future is awesome. In a way, this movie feels a lot like a Rambo movie. It’s about an experienced warrior guy who is called upon to stop another man/group to save society, and although it’s very sci-fi, Stallone brings out his inner Rambo. In fact, there’s actually a Rambo mention in the movie which was really funny and cool. This movie was also great because although it’s intense with action, it’s still very comedic. Snipes was absolutely hilarious, and even in the serious scenes, there was always something to laugh about. The futuristic society is also very laughable (in terms of the city rules and stuff), especially the voice interface that dings every time someone cusses. The choreography and fight sequences were really well shot, and they were very impressive. Overall, the movie was pretty good, and even though some of the effects were a bit cheesy, it was awesome. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
