Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Just a heads up, this review will be short and sweet, seeing as it’s one of the most awful horror movies I’ve seen in a while. I’ve definitely seen worse, but I’ve definitely seen better. At this point in the franchise, the studio should’ve just stopped trying to capitalize on Michael Myers. Adding so much stupid lore to the movies was not the way to go. To me, it tarnishes the legacy and brilliance of the original ‘Halloween’. Hollywood really does suffer from sequel-itis. The writing was downright egregious, with a plot that just clogs up the movie with its flaws. The characters were all garbage, and none of them were likable at all. Yeah, it was cool to see Paul Rudd in his feature film debut, but even that couldn’t save this movie. The acting was also horrible, but I don’t blame the actors, the script was crap, and they had extremely little to work with. The only real highlight of the movie was Michael. Him going and killing people is always fun, but that’s about it. The movie has almost nothing else to offer. I wouldn’t watch it again, nor would I recommend it.
