Ted 2 (2015)
Ted 2
Much like the first ‘Ted’, I don’t have much to say about this. First off, I might be in the minority in saying this, but I actually liked this one better than the first. It took me a little bit to get into it, but eventually, I just found it more compelling. I also thought the humor was a little more my speed in this one. The jokes are great, there’s awesome physical comedy, and there’s serious moments when there needs to be. I also loved the court setting as well. I do think the first film is better, just because it’s a great character introduction and carries itself until the end (mostly). This one does falter at some points, and in no world should it be two hours long. There’s so much extra that doesn’t need to be added, and it felt super drawn out. However, I liked the third act because of the comic con setting. There were some nerdy references that I enjoyed, plus watching Patrick Warburton bully the nerds was peak comedy. That’s about all I can say for the story. To me, it has heart, but only in certain moments. The acting wasn’t anything phenomenal, and Mila Kunis’s missing presence is definitely felt. All the cameos were also pretty epic (Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Tom Brady, etc), but also very cheesy. Lastly, the soundtrack was pretty great, and I loved the presence of the orchestral sound. Overall, it’s not super great, but I still liked it a decent amount. I’d only recommend it if you like vulgar comedies, and sloppy ones at that.
