The Sixth Sense (1999)
The Sixth Sense
I wasn’t really sure what to expect going into this movie, but let me tell you, it’s definitely worth your time. The story was incredibly good, with several awesome twists and lots of clues leading up to certain things. It was extremely intriguing, and it keeps you hooked in for the entire movie. There are constant advancements to the plot, and the character progression is awesome. I love the take on ghosts that this movie has, as it’s done in a way that isn’t often done. I also love the way this movie serves its horror. There’s a couple moments that are scary, but a majority of the movie is psychological. It really gets into your mind in a creepy way. It really gets you thinking about what’s happening, and the final twist really blew my mind. All I’ll say is that everything you think might not be so. All the characters were pretty awesome, as they really help build and move the story forward. The acting was phenomenal, especially Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment. Willis is always great, but Osment steals the spotlight in every scene he’s in. He shows so much raw emotion that really grips you. In fact, you can almost feel the vibes coming off of him in every scene, and I’d say it’s one of the best child performances I’ve seen in a movie. The music was also phenomenal, and I really loved it. It was really prominent in several scenes, especially in the more climactic ones. It added a really great tingly feel to the movie. Overall, I would most definitely recommend this movie to those who love psychological horrors. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
