The Shift (2023)
The Shift
This was simply not a good movie. I didn’t have high hopes for it or anything, but it was still extremely disappointing. I don’t feel like I can write too much about it, simply because I don’t have too many good things to say. I can somewhat see how the movie was supposed to play out, but it was executed in a horrible way. The entire thing was scattered and just a jumbled mess. Most of the time, I had no idea what was going on. Like I said, I can see where the writers wanted to go, but it simply didn’t work. The acting wasn’t the best either, although there were a few scenes that were solid. I did really like Neal McDonough’s performance, though. He does such a great job of playing villains, especially after seeing his tenure in the Arrowverse. But besides him, everyone was kind of meh (but it was cool to see Gabriel always packing). There’s really not much else to say, just that it wasn’t great at all. Don’t waste your time seeing this in theaters.
