Christmas Town (2019)
Christmas Town
Normally I would never watch a Hallmark movie, but my parents were watching it, so I said what the heck. And, as it turns out, I was actually surprised by how good this was. Candace Cameron Bure is in this one, and I’ve always really liked her, because she’s an awesome human, as well as being on Full House. So, since she was in it, I decided to give it a try. I’m not saying this is a good movie, but it’s definitely much better than many of the ones I’ve heard of. It obviously had the usual amount of corniness like they all do, but it still has an awesome message. The story was extremely cliche, and absolutely nothing original. Much of it was pretty dumb, but still somewhat enjoyable. I actually really liked most of the characters, and they were all funny but serious. Even though they were also pretty cheesy, they were still fun to watch. The music wasn’t really good at all, as it just had the repetitive feel that all these types of movies had. But, the inclusion of some popular Christmas songs was a good touch. Overall, I actually somewhat enjoyed this, as it provides a fun, hopeful, and loving message that embodies the Christmas spirit in a great way. I wouldn’t really recommend it though, unless you like cheesy Christmas movies.
