First Blood

• Definitely one of my most favorite movies of all time, First Blood is one that I think everybody should experience at least once. Not only is it a fun and intense action movie, it dives into the PTSD issue of an army vet. That’s why I love this movie so much, is because it studies what Rambo goes through after his bad war experiences, and his breakdown at the end of the movie is, in my opinion, one of the greatest and most emotional pieces of acting on screen. The soundtrack is also insanely good, and there are so many scenes where the music gives me chills. Funnily enough, the first time I watched this movie, I didn’t really care for it that much. Now, I have seen it probably over 10 times, and it is certainly one of Stallone’s best movies. And even though it was a lower budget film, it was extremely well made in terms of shots and sequences. It also kicked off a really great movie series. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go see it now!
