Jesus Revolution (2023)
Jesus Revolution
My gosh. I had no idea this movie would be as impactful as it was to me. It’s based on the true events of the Jesus Revolution in the 70’s, so I figured it would be more of a history lesson. But, from the very beginning to the end, it delivers so many great messages. I was just so moved, and I can’t really put it into words. The theater experience also helped make it so impactful. Of course, it was mostly a bunch of old people, but you could almost physically feel the emotions this movie gives. I truly can’t describe it. Now, everybody might take away their own personal message from this, but for me, I can solidly say that this movie is life changing. Legitimately. Asides from showing the history aspect of the events, you get to see the personal journeys of many people, which affect the viewer in such a positive way. It doesn’t just teach love, but also peace, acceptance, and the dangers of vanity. It was just so awesome. The cast also puts their best foot forward. I don’t have a single complaint about any of the characters or portrayals. They all had their own personalities, and they contributed so many great things to the movie. There were definitely a few things that could’ve been cut, or better explained, but besides those, the movie in itself was great. The music was also pretty solid, though nothing impressive. It attributed an emotional feel, and the use of some 60’s/70’s music helped make it even more realistic than it was. Also, the costume design was absolutely perfect. The ending also hits hard. You get to see what happened to the real people and their experiences. And, in the last scene, you get one final message from Billy Graham, which was so cool and moving to see. Overall, this is one of the most impactful movies I’ve ever seen, and I would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone. Because it will change you. This film is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
