The Big Bang Theory (2007-2019)
The Big Bang Theory
I’ve been on a really hot streak of TV shows recently, so here is, yet again, another perfect score for one of the most relatable and funny TV shows I’ve seen. It’s definitely one of my new favorite shows ever, and I was extremely sad once I finished it. Those characters have become a part of me now, and the fact that I’ve reached the conclusion is very depressing. The reason I love it so much is because of how much I can relate to the characters and their interests. It’s literally a show about nerds made for nerds like me. The amount of references in the show to modern day movies and comics was super cool. I just loved seeing people who like the exact same things that I do. That’s why it’s so personal. The writing is great, and how it uses those nerdy things to show the character traits of each person. Each person was written so uniquely. All the characters were great, even the really obnoxious ones. The acting was also insanely good. Jim Parsons as Sheldon is revolutionary, and I legitimately don’t think we’ll ever see as good a performance in a sitcom ever again. He set the bar so high, and I’d be surprised if it was met. As I said, the writing around the characters is terrific. I also love the way that the show is a comedy, but still has some very heartfelt and emotional moments that only make you love everyone even more. Overall, it’s a perfectly made show, and as far as I’m concerned, there’s not a single flaw. I’d recommend it to all sitcom fans, especially if you’re a nerd like I am. This show is officially Berry Approved, so go watch it now!
