• I didn’t enjoy this as much as the first few DCAU movies, but it’s still pretty solid. As much as I love Aquaman’s lore and backstories, this movie just didn’t really cut it like I thought it would. It was a decent introduction to Aquaman, as well as the entire and complete Justice League. I love the more comic accurate Aquaman look, which is something the DCEU had some slight trouble with. The classic clean-shaven, blonde hair look is so sweet. I thought the story was pretty good, as it was a good branch off from the previous movies, while still building up the storyline. Also, Orm and Manta are so freaking cool. Their presence was really sweet. And of course, the rest of the Justice League was awesome. The action was fun, the music was great, and the animation was beautiful as always. Plus, the ending shot was so awesome and left me smiling. Overall, the movie was good, though there were some spots for improvement. It was still a little bit bland, despite all the great stuff. But I’d still recommend it to all superhero/DC fans.
